Established in 2016, the Atlanta Womxn’s Barbell Club meets Sundays at CrossFit Downtown Atlanta (some weeks at AK CrossFit), plus Tuesday and Fridays in East Atlanta.
We are a group of lifters who identify as female or gender non-conforming, training to learn proper lifting technique and to get stronger.
Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist Lis Saunders is the club’s coach. She has 10 years of coaching experience and specializes in working with beginners. Lis writes the weekly programming and teaches warm-up, movement prep and lifting technique in each session.
All experience and ability levels are welcome.
Sunday sessions are limited to 10 lifters (but the group is regularly smaller- 3 to 5) and are sliding-scale fee based. Pay what you can afford, from $5-20.
Week day sessions are limited to 3 lifters and are $25-35.
