Atlanta’s strength community comes together again this June to raise barbells and funds for the city’s homeless LGBTQ+ youth. Lost-n-Found Youth, Atlanta’s 501c3 with a mission of eliminating homelessness for LGBTQ+ youth, is the event beneficiary. Register now for the clean & jerk and deadlift fundraiser!
Lifters select which barbell lift to perform – either deadlift or clean & jerk, or both – and they have three attempts to perform the heaviest lift possible. Each lifter sets a goal of what they hope to lift on event day, and between now and then will be busy raising $1 per pound of their goal lift. So a lifter with a goal of deadlifting 200 pounds on June 20th will attempt to raise $200 for Lost-n-Found Youth. Lifting starts at 1 pm on June 20 at CrossFit Downtown Atlanta. A tentative schedule will be posted by March 1.
The event is co-hosted by Team Lis Smash and the Fantastic Beasts, Atlanta’s LGBTQ+ powerlifting club.
Registration is $50 for one lift, or $85 for two lifts.
