Atlanta’s 2nd Annual Pull for Pride was held Saturday June 16th at CrossFit Downtown Atlanta. The event raised over $10,000 for Lost-n-Found Youth, an Atlanta non-profit that exists to end homelessness among LGBTQ+ and other sexual minority youth.
Forty-five lifters participated and attempted to raise $1 per pound that they deadlifted. Each lifter had three attempts to pull their best deadlift possible. Pull for Pride was co-hosted by Team Lis Smash, the Fantastic Beasts – Atlanta’s LGBTQ Powerlifting Club, CrossFit Downtown Atlanta and the Women’s Strength Coalition.
Pull for Pride Nationwide started in four cities in 2017. This year events were held 11 cities, and each one raised funds for a local LGBTQ+ youth charity.

NEXT YEAR: instead of Pull for Pride, we’ll be hosting Lift for Lost-n-Found on June 20, 2020. #L4LNFY is a very similar barbell benefit that will continue to raise funds for Atlanta’s Lost-n-Found Youth.
