Chattanooga Vikation
Thanks to the beautiful city of Chattanooga, TN for being the site of our recent family vacation.
NOTICE: Although it may seem, from the way we talked up Chattanooga for the past two weeks, like we might have been compensated by the city tourism board or like they paid for our vacation in exchange for mentions on the podcast… this is not the case.

The coolest adventure we went on last week was the Greeter Falls hike (where Hulk carried the Cady Dog down and back up a metal spiral staircase).
We also did some hiking on the nearby Guild Trail.
And we visited the popular tourist destination of Ruby Falls.

Finally, on to the important stuff…FOOD & DRINK:
We had two amazing breakfasts at Mean Mug Coffee… check out the pastry case if you visit. Their fresh oatmeal cream pie is no joke.
Our favorite pizza of the trip (we tried two spots) was from Community Pie. They serve delicious Neopolitan-style pizza (they also have NY-style deep dish). If you go, try the Grown-Up Fried Cheese… basically a fancy Totino’s pizza roll.

For amazing BBQ, visit Mike’s Smokehouse. Jeff recommends the smoked wings, I loved the brisket, and Cady enjoyed the Texas Toast.
Finally, for your street tacos and empanada fix, you MUST visit Taqueria Jalisco.
We also visited Sportsbarn in downtown Chattanooga for a deload workout. I was really impressed with the accommodations, for almost any kind of workout you’d want to do. Just don’t weigh yourself on the barn scale if you’ve been on the same vacation diet we were on…
Like I mentioned in last week’s Show Notes, we stayed in an AirBnb in the St. Elmo neighborhood, near Lookout Mountain, Rock City and Ruby Falls.
