The Pact movie is prepping to begin shooting in our neighborhood starting tomorrow.

Kay Cannon is making her directorial debut on The Pact movie. You may know her work as a writer on 30 Rock and the creator of Pitch Perfect. Her newest creation is the Netflix show GirlBoss which was adapted from the Sophia Amoruso #Girlboss biography (great book I recommend for young women and entrepreneurial ladies out there).
For the next ten days, The Pact is shooting in the house next door to ours in Atlanta. We spend part of this week’s show brainstorming how many awkward interactions we can have at the craft services table (which will be located conveniently IN OUR FRONT YARD!).
We also talk about the new Starz “American Gods” series, adapted from the Neil Gaiman book Jeff is currently reading.
Lis once accidentally stole a book from Jeff that turned out to be one of her favorites, Jen Sincero’s You are a Badass. Jeff will finally be reading it this month. And Lis just downloaded Sincero’s newest release on Audible, You are a Badass at Making Money.

We also give a recap for April and set some May goals: Viking’s weight loss is on track for him to be at/below 250# in time for our Chattanooga vacation where we hope to go hang-gliding. And Hulk just wrapped up one training block and moves on to a new strength-building block, FINALLY getting into competition-specific lifts as she continues training for the USAPL Southeast Regionals in August.
