The inaugural USA Powerlifting Atlanta Women’s Open (sanction GA-2017-04) is just a month away and I’m blown away by the response! I’m so excited to celebrate the women’s powerlifting community with all of you on Saturday, May 6th.
We have 45 lifters registered and are pacing to end up with around 60-65 women all competing together at the meet. About 1/3 of the lifters are doing their first powerlifting meet, so if you are a new lifter deciding whether to register, you won’t be the only first-timer!
In addition to all of the strong women taking the platform on May 6th, this event would not be possible without two other groups: our volunteers and our sponsors.
THANK YOU for your support!
We need more volunteers both for set up on Friday, May 5th, and for meet day on Saturday, May 6th. Please register here to volunteer if you can join us.
Men AND women are welcome to volunteer.
Thanks to all of our sponsors for supporting this event!
Please give them some love:

Here are a few lifter updates:
- Registration is open for three more weeks. The early bird pricing is only good for three more days, so register by Thursday 4/6 at midnight to save some dough. The final registration deadline is Saturday, 4/22.
- The first roster will be posted this Friday by 12 noon.
- The entry fee for spectators/fans/coaches is $5 cash. All entry fees collected will be donated to a local women’s charity.
- The final t-shirt design will be posted next week. T-shirt pre-orders end on Friday, April 14th.
- If you need to make any changes to your original registration (division, weight class, etc), please email me.
- You are required to have a CURRENT USA Powerlifting membership on meet day. Memberships will not be for sale at the event. Register online IN ADVANCE here.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, May 6th at the USA Powerlifting Atlanta Women’s Open!
